2014
A full year in remission without medication! College food isn't so great but we found a nearby organic market and restaurant that we like to visit: http://goldenbantam.blogspot.com/p/about.html

2013
This year was phenomenal! She remained healthy and in clinical remission. All meds continued to be reduced. In September she stopped taking the last of her meds, Lipitor. As of this update, written on 1/20/14, she's still in remission and doesn't need to see her nephrologist for one year.

1/25/12
She is still in clinical remission! Prograf has been reduced now to 2 mg/day: 1 mg in the morning and 1 mg at night. She is remaining on lisinopril and lipitor with no change in dose.

12/1/11
Recent urine test showed no protein. Moving forward with current treatment.

10/2/11
Today, her nephrologist told us that she's still in clinical remission! Her tests results were normal so we are again reducing her prograf by 1 mg, remaining on the same dose of lisinopril and lipitor. She is now taking 2 mg of prograf in the morning and 1 mg at night along with the lipitor and lisinopril which hasn't changed. In one month, the protein level in her urine will tested to make sure levels stay normal. If all is okay, then it's back to her nephrologist in a few weeks for another assessment.

6/14/11
At her doctor's appointment today we were given the good news that she's still in remission. We're reducing her prograf again by 1 mg. She's now on 5 mg lisinopril, 10 mg lipitor, and 4 mg prograf @ 2 mg 2x/day.  Protein levels will be closely monitored for any set backs.

3/31/11
My daughter has been in clinical remission for one year but is still on medication and is being weaned from one of them, prograf, which is an immunosuppressant.  It has been one month now since the prograf was reduced by 1 mg (from 6 mg to 5 mg - it will be a slow process) and the latest report is that her "protein level is remarkable".  We are very happy!
